Review by Obsidian Kerttu

Surely, all gothic souls out there know of The Gothic Shop, one of the best places where you can buy gothic clothing, jewelry and accessories. The Gothic Shop is an online store from the UK that has been voted Best UK Site in the Alt Fashion 2009, 2010 & 2013 polls and nominated in the top 3 Best UK Site in the Alt Fashion 2011, 2012 & 2014 polls.

Their wide range of brands, excellent customer service, affordable prices and fast delivery set them apart from the other shops. Two of the brands they stock caught my attention – Punk Rave and The Rogue + The Wolf, so I took the opportunity to review them.

Punk Rave

Punk Rave is mainly engaged in offering Punk and Gothic fashion with Gothic lolita and Visual kei clothing. The idea of Punkrave brand is to create a style which is different from all the traditional styles and matches with the new generations, thus cultivating a culture of alternative style. Attention to details and use of luxurious fabrics is what I appreciate the most about this brand.

This breath taking jacket from Punk Rave is made from a beautiful soft black velvet, and is trimmed with a delicate lace trim. The long bell sleeves really add to the trad goth feel of this jacket which is enhanced by the flowing back hem. Fastening with a central velvet button this jacket also includes corset style lacing on the back. Another truly special piece of Gothic clothing and a must have!

The Lyricism Top from Punk Rave is a beautiful gothic top made from stretch lace. It has excellent structure lines around the shoulders forming flattering, short, puff sleeves. This traditional gothic top give the impression that it is a blouse with a central panel that features ruching and faux button fastening. This top is very detailed, finished off with fabric roses decorating a choker effect high neckline.

Gorgeously Gothic leggings from Punk Rave. Featuring fine mesh paneling with corset lacing down the front, from the thigh, these striking leggings are an ideal way to add to your alternative look. Another great and distinctive feature of this item is found above the paneling in the form of a beautiful cut out design which flashes a bit of flesh for a fierce look. Made from a super soft material, these leggings not only look the part but are also comfortable enough to wear all throughout the day.

Stunning Gothic lolita dress from Punk Rave. This gorgeous lace dress has some beautiful features including corset style lacing at the front and back for a flattering fit, as well as a corsage running down from the sleeve to the waist on one side. With a short skirt at the front and long drape at the back this dress is ideal for prom and other special occasions. The beautiful intricacy of this dress makes this breathtaking piece really special.

The Rogue + The Wolf

The Rogue + The Wolf create 3D printed jewellery and accessories for avant-garde fashion lovers and those that stand out from the crowd. They combine geeky technical excellence with ultramodern fashion sense to bring fresh, exciting and innovative design.

A modern and elegant antler ring that wraps around your top-knuckle. A play of antlers wrapping around your knuckle for a stand out look. You conquer attention, you always play to win. It is 3D printed in polyamide plastic.

An elegant antler necklace with a hidden heart in its wild curves. One of my personal favorites with it’s amazing detailing and hidden symbols and also a piece that can go with any outfit.

All in all The Gothic Shop is one of the most loved stores among goths. The quality of clothing and jewellery is excellent and we always appreciate the little rolls of love hearts that come with them! Keep up the good work – I will be sincerely recommending this shop to all my followers and readers.
